Ming Holden

Dear All,

I am honored to be interviewed over at The Rumpus, which has been one of my favorite places one the web to go ever since I began reading Cheryl Strayed’s “Dear Sugar” column in 2010.  The amazing Heather Fowler at Fictionaut also interviewed me recently.

As if these were not enough of a blessing, the United States State Department has invited me to Suriname for a week in March under the auspices of the U.S. Speakers Program to celebrate Women’s History Month by talking with various groups of women there, including victims of human trafficking, about creative writing as a tool for empowerment.   So basically, my government is paying me to do my dream job, and I am the luckiest girl in the world.

I hope your 2014 is as fantastic as mine is shaping up to be, and we can all meet up in the land of This Is Awesome.
